An original concept for this Indonesian cigarette brand. 2 rival gangs are being forced into a dance choreography by a symbolic ‘O’ representing the brand. Not making sense ? Doesn’t matter, it’s at least a pretext for a fun movie to watch, and that was equally fun to work on.
Shooting was tricky as some shots required the actors to be ‘moved’ against their will. In order to achieve that, green suited puppeteers were pushing and shoving them around using poles attached to the talents waist. This and poor shooting conditions led to a massive amount of rotoscoping work later on.
The animation and rendering part were straightforward, using 3dsmax, Vray, Nuke and Flame to finish… The whole process took about a month.
